Live Lunch

The live streaming video geekery continues. I took my lunch at Kakaako

Waterfront Park today and shared the view with the world. Tonight, I'll try

to broadcast from a geek meetup in Manoa.

Live

Streaming video of Ala Moana Beach Park live over the Internet. Figured I

might as well share my lunch hour escape with others who are similarly

cubicle bound. Feel free to drop in anytime -- I'm live quite randomly as I

play with this new technology.

KITV

In the KITV studio to talk "LOST." Though you can't tell from this washed-out photo, the building's fire control system was activated and the broadcast was interrupted by strobe lights, sirens and recorded announcements. The strobes persisted for several minutes, prompting the control room to pipe techno music into the studio.

Updates

When I'm at work, my Mac sits beside me as a window to the outside world.

Sometimes its my friends' Twitter stream, sometimes it's a live webcam or

two, sometimes it's Digg Live, and sometimes its this "newsmap." Taking a

news ticker to the next level, it shows a spectrum of news stories, the

"hotter" the story, the larger the item is on screen. It's a few years old

now but still quite cool.

Parking

One of dozens of signs surrounding the CompUSA Ala Moana parking lot. Seems

pretty clear to me (though I guess you CAN walk off the property WITH your

car). We shopped here today in honor of Charlie and Stacy Aldinger.
