Another quick interisland hop for work, this one to Kahului, Maui. And just
like that, time to go home. My in-flight beverage (guava punch) and
in-flight entertainment (HawaiiVog reruns).

Taking a quick trip to Hilo for work. Between sessions, I take a closer
look at the "Singing Bridge," or "Airplane Bridge," where Highway 19 spans
the mouth of the Wailuku River. Built after a tsunami destroyed the
original crossing, its steel grate surface makes a signature buzz as you
drive on it. I remember listening for it as a kid, a sure sign we'd reached
Hilo. This was my first time across it as a pedestrian, though.

friendsof my dad and stepmom. No one at our family gathering even knew of
her photography, but I've long admired her work.
