Lost

"Lost" returns to Mililani, this time setting up inside the lychee farm
deep inside Mililani Mauka. The street is packed with trailers
(Hurley/Locke and Sheriff/Eddie?), crew cars (effects?), and even one
trashed cargo container (prop, or just pulled from the location?). Another
neighborhood gawker said it was for Episode 3x02.

Another Stryker spotted, corner of Nuuanu Ave. and S. King St. on front of

Workhorse

My trusty "news van." It's been getting a lot of rest lately, so I'm
treating it to some TLC (just got a new battery, too). It's been almost
nine months since it last visited Jiffy Lube. Total mileage in that time?
Just over 1,000 miles. The tech asked incredulously, "You live in
Mililani?" He did too, but transferred from the Pearl Kai location to
University because "the people were better here."

Maybe in the garage, but while I was there, a tourist walked in asking how
to get to the Swap Meet at Aloha Stadium. The cashier just laughed and
shook his head. I helped the guy out.

An intriguing new joint moving in next door to Soul de Cuba restaurant at

Lunch with my friend Lacene at Skippy's (1385 Queen Emma St.), a Vietnamese place next door to Dog the Bounty Hunter (and he was in today). Owner Lannie Nguyen, right, was busy hand rolling spring rolls when we arrived. Lacene, left, is a regular, and loves the barbecue chicken. I had the combo phó. Yummy!
