Time Flies Jen's pregnant. I'm in China. More news as developments warrant.   Katie in a Mililani park one October afternoon. Her favorite playground activity? Hanging out. Katie shows off a butterfly on her wrist. A new glittery shirt from Martha's mom. Thanks! A tomato spotted on Bishop Street downtown. Bernadette Baraquio covers the Macy's transition. Unusually bad rush hour traffic one Tuesday. To think things can get this on a small island. Last minute gift shopping at Mont Blanc. The engraver is called back from her lunch break. Trojan Times advisor Mrs. Faye "Cujo" Tanaka was the first to teach me to start with the point. The most significant news. (This versus the "Five Ws" cliché most high school newswriting students are taught.) All the rest is background. I'd like to say there will be background. I'd like to say, again, "This entry is under construction." And mean it, and really, truly, come back to fill in the rest of the details. After all, it's been almost a month, and while the above updates are... significant, I've certainly many more tales to tell. (Like bumping into Christy. Or meeting up with Peter Li and Jhoanna Calma, my talented copanelists at the Bamboo Ridge Writer's Institute this weekend. Or the chaotic planning for the conference in Shanghai that I'm now on the cusp of falling into — which, sadly, is where most of my energy and attention had been focused.) But I doubt I'll ever get around to it. Life, and time, marches on.
